Replacing the Rubber Around Your Windows

If the rubber around your windows is looking faded and cracked you can potentially replace the rubber yourself depending on the product. 

Fixed lite windows involve simply pushing in the rubber with a wedge which can be done easily. However, sliding sashes, awning sashes, and doors all use U rubber which is difficult to replace.

If you do attempt to replace the rubber yourself it can be risky. If there are future leaks in your product because the wrong rubber was used or not put in properly then it won’t be covered under warranty.
